The Chief of Defense Staff of Egypt, Lieutenant General Ahmed Fathi Ibrahim Khalifa, is on a three-day working visit to Rwanda. During his visit, he toured the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) Headquarters, where he was received by his counterpart, General MK Mubarakh, the Chief of Defense Staff of Rwanda.

This visit aims to strengthen the military cooperation and bilateral relations between the Rwandan and Egyptian armed forces. It marks a significant step toward enhancing collaboration, especially in areas such as military training, health, and other related sectors.

The discussions between the two Chiefs of Defense focused on advancing military cooperation, improving operational coordination, and exploring other potential areas for long-term partnership between the two armies.

Following the talks, both parties signed a cooperation agreement, underscoring the shared commitment of both armed forces to deepen sustainable collaboration based on mutual interests.
