Kenya: 17 Students Killed in Fire

A tragic fire at a primary school in Endarasha, Kenya, has claimed the lives of 17 children, with many others sustaining serious injuries.

There are fears that the death toll could rise as a significant number of injured students are in critical condition. All the victims have been taken to the hospital for treatment in the hopes of saving their lives.

Kenya’s President has ordered a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The Kenyan Red Cross is providing assistance, offering support to the surviving students and helping them communicate with their families to receive updates on their loved ones.

The police and other relevant authorities have launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the fire.

The BBC reports that a similar incident occurred in July 2016, when a fire broke out at St. Patrick’s School in Iten.
