Rwanda: A Potato-Based Vodka Brewery Nears Completion

In the Nyange Sector of Musanze District, a new brewery that will produce potato-based vodka is nearing completion. The factory, named Virunga Mountain Spirits, is expected to start operations soon.

On Monday, September 2, 2024, the Governor of the Northern Province, Mugabowagahunde Maurice, along with the Mayor of Musanze, Nsengimana Claudien, visited the construction site to assess the progress. The officials expressed their satisfaction with the advanced stage of the construction.

The brewery is set to be completed before the 20th edition of the Kwita Izina ceremony, scheduled for October 18, 2024.
